The North Coast of Northern Ireland is a pocket of vibrant hospitality and we have been roasting and brewing coffee along this windswept coastline for 10 years. We are proud to be here and want you to experience, not simply a great cup of coffee but the warm Irish welcome we are so famous for.
Creating a culture of hospitality is our heartbeat and nothing inspires us more than a smile from a delighted customer. We really believe that great hospitality is taught and caught. Taught through excellence and caught by practice and passion; producing delicious food & coffee is our passion.
We have learnt a lot over the last 10 years and have produced a great tasting coffee as a result.

Narino
TO THE NORTH COAST
Bothy’s Columbian Heroes
The delicious coffee you enjoy in our shops comes from high in the Andes. Farmed by smallholders in the highlands of Narino by producers such as Hernan, Carlos and Benjamin. They carefully nurture the crop until the coffee cherry turns a vibrant red / yellow colour and becomes perfect for picking. These hardworking smallholders have been responsible for the great taste in your cup for the last several months and we love our partnership with them and their families.
BEAn transformed
Like peeling an orange, you have to remove the outer layer of the coffee cherry to get to the good stuff and this is accomplished through water; a washed process where the green bean is detached from its red / yellow shell. Every Bothy bean navigates through water, removing its outer layers before being dried for 10-12 days in the sun. This practice it is what gives our coffee it’s distinct flavours; Caramel, Chocolate and Citrus.
The Fresher the Better
To keep up with the coffee demand from our shop locations and online orders, we produce fresh coffee weekly in our beautiful Giesen W6. Roughly 240kg of green beans arrive in Whitepark Bay at the beginning of the week. Our roasting team thoughtfully develop a small batch of beans at a time in the Giesen so to create the rich medium roast and accentuate the flavour we know our customers love.
